Director: David Fincher
Veteran director David Fincher's new film Mank also featured Citizen Kane's screenwriter Herman Mankiewicz. Citizen Kane's film Mankiewicz was nominated for a screenplay at the ceremony and was brought to life by Oscar-winning actress Gary Oldman.
Actor Oldman was accompanied by Amanda Seyfried, Lily Collins, Tom Burke, Charles Dance, Tuppence Middleton, Arliss Howard, Joseph Cross, Ferdinand Kingsley, Jamie McShane, Sam Troughton, Toby Leonard Moore and Tom Pelphrey.
2.I’m Thinking of Ending Things

I'm Thinking of Ending Things, the third feature directed by successful screenwriter and director Charlie Kaufman, will be screened on Netflix this year. Based on Iain Reid's novel of the same name, the film will tell the story of a road where tension surges, and a setback on this journey will be about re-questioning the preferences of a woman preparing to leave her boyfriend. Based on Daphne du Maurier's cult of the same name, the film tells the story of a young woman's newlywed man's trying to cope with the still-felt influence of his first wife, Rebecca. Daphne du Maurier's novel was previously a film adaptation by Alfred Hitchcock, the master director's only film to win the Oscar for Best Picture. Wheatley stars Kristin Scott Thomas, Lily James and Armie Hammer.

Oscar-winning director Ron Howard, who has brought popular films such as A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13 and Cinderella Man to the cinema world, will be presented to moviegoers this year with his new film Hillbilly Elegy.
Based on J.D. Vance's best-selling memoir, Hillbilly Elegy is a book based on the 1990s by Hillbilly Elegy. It tells the story of three generations of a family living in the Abrase Mountains from the point of view of J.D., the youngest member of the family. Vance's memoir, based on his childhood in the Midwest of America, is seen as a modern review of the American Dream.
The film stars Amy Adams, Glenn Close, Haley Bennett, Freida Pinto and Bo Hopkins.
7.The Old Guard

Starring Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron, The Old Guard brings together action and fantasy genres. Based on the comic book series of the same name by Leandro Fernandez and Greg Rucka, the film tells the story of a group of mercenaries led by a mysterious woman (Theron). What sets this group of mercenaries apart is that they're immortals who have lived for centuries. As the excitement of eternal life for the band members dwinds, the emergence of an immortal they have never known before will lead this group of mercenaries on an unexpected adventure.
The film is directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood, best known for her productions such as The Secret Life of Bees and Beyond the Light. Prince-Bythewood was selected to direct the Spider-Man spin-off black cat and silver sable, but it was shelved when Sony's plans for the Spider-Man films changed.
The film stars Charlize Theron as Chiwetel Ejiofor, Matthias Schoenaerts, Harry Melling, Van Veronica Ngo and Kiki Layne.
8.The Prom

Ryan Murphy, who made his name with such shows as Nip/Tuck and Glee, has become one of the most important figures in the television world in recent years with American Horror Story and will be in front of the audience this year with his fourth feature, The Prom.
Murphy's first film since The Normal Heart in 2014 will be directed by Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, James Corden, Awkwafina, Keegan-Michael Key and Kerry Washington.
The Prom is adapted from the musical of the same name, which began being performed on Broadway in October 2018 and has won six Tony nominations. The film, written by the play's writers Chad Beguelin and Bob Martin, follows four Broadway actors who were once quite famous when a lesbian student (Emma) goes to an Indiana town where she is not allowed to take her girlfriend to graduation night. Although this quartet is seemingly struggling to accept differences, their sole purpose is to bring themselves back to the agenda by using this event.
